SINGAPORE – In the wake of Covid-19, many companies produced smart masks featuring motorised fans or pumps, claiming to offer superior air-filtration capabilities and improved comfort over conventional disposable or reusable masks.
These wearable devices have other applications beyond the current pandemic, such as combating air pollution or a future Disease X, but it remains to be seen if they will have staying power as the global Covid-19 situation slowly stabilises.
