Former ozeki Takayasu was visible this week at a pair of events that should impact the sumo landscape in both the medium and long term.

The veteran was present at the official unveiling of an imposing new stable building belonging to former stablemate Kisenosato — now Nishonoseki oyakata — on June 5th.
