The club did not disclose the estimated recovery time but said that the 29-year-old would see a specialist in the next few hours and continue treatment.
“Following complaining of pain in his right knee, Paul Pogba underwent radiological examinations that revealed a lesion of the lateral meniscus,” the club said in a statement.
On Tuesday, Juventus also announced that midfielder Aaron Ramsey‘s contract had been mutually terminated. Ramsey was in the final year of a lucrative contract he signed when arriving as a free agent in 2019. The Wales international spent the second half of last season on loan at Scottish side Rangers and was left out of Juventus’ preseason tour of the United States.
